Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into OEM tow package wiring harness - no cutting or splicing required.

by:

Fit perfect, plugged right into factor harness. Only suggestion would be that it does not come with a mounting plate so it has to just hang down.

by:

Could come with a bracket to hold trailer connector.

by:

Great hitch, no rust, no problems, wiring harness was also a breeze with no issues

by:

Easy installation

by:

replaced with new updated harness and all works great

by:

Matched factory plug perfectly, did cover the wires with split loom to protect them and make it look nicer. My truck didn't have the tow package, so the factory connector was dead, as there are other things that need to be done under the hood to make it live, but thats on me for not reading the guide.

Andrew, thank you for your review. If your 2017 Nissan Frontier does not have a tow package you will need part # C56225 that includes the jumper harness and relays. The relays plug into the jumper harness and the harness installs behind the kick panel of the passenger side front door area. I have attached a link to an install on a 2017 Nissan Frontier.

by:

6 yrs ago when I purchased my truck it didn’t have the trailer wiring on it. I shopped around and fought this product and purchased it. I had an issue last year and thought it was the harness so I purchased another one but as it turns out it was a blown fuse deep down in my fuse panel under the hood of my truck. So this is the second one I have bought and I don’t need it because the first one I purchased is still going strong but at this price and quality I’m going to hold on to it in case I do need it down the road. Great product

by:

Screw splicing wires unless you just like being frustrated, miserable, and having regretful thoughts. Even if you are poor.....this will probably be cheaper! If a car has a trailer light hookup this is the ONLY way to go. I had this plugged in working in less than a minute. Hardest part on any of this is finding the wiring adapter on the vehicle. Took me 10 seconds to find it on the Frontier and about 30 seconds to get it hooked up....getting the cover plug off to expose the clean receptacle took some wiggling and a screw driver to push the little release tab. OK, I'll say it took 3 minutes because I had to send my son downstairs to get the little flathead screwdriver!

by:

I purchased a hitch, ball mount, ball and wiring for my Frontier. I thought your people were very pleasant. professional and helpful. I did have an issue with power to my lights but after watching one of your video instructions, I realized that I needed to purchase some additional in cab wiring that was shipped promptly. Just installed it and everything works perfectly. By buying your products and doing it myself, I saved about $150. Nice! Thanks

by:

Worked perfectly. Arrived as promised.

by:

perfect, easy

by:

Product fit right out of the box. Shipping was
quick as was installation. Price was was fantastic. I will order all my trailer accessories from etrailor.com in the future.

by:

Order was shipped the same day I placed it and arrived in at my home in NC 2 days later. The hitch look great, but I haven't been able to mount it yet. The nuts welded to my Frontier's frame have rusted and it's a slow, arduous process to clear the threads. We live in the mountains & roads are frequently salted in winter. etrailer has a good video on their site regarding clearing the threads, but mine are particularly bad.

by:

Should have bought the 2 piece harness for Nissan exterra. You need this piece, but also the relays in passenger side kick panel. Product was excellent but not complete to add lights

by:

Product worked as described. Chris (Customer Service) assured me that it was the right part. So far so good!

It worked out great for the 6 months I had the vehicle. Traded that truck in on a bigger one because of bigger loads I was pulling. Will definitely purchase again if I ever need to.

by:

Ordered some towing accessories for my Nissan Xterra. Fast shipping & super responsive customer service. These guys know their stuff. When I call, they answer & that’s not too common these days. I’m definitely a life customer.

by:

Nicely made pigtail. The six prong plug fits right into the receptacle in the wiring on my truck. I bought the little right angle bracket for the 4 pole end of the plug, but unfortunately, the plug was a little bit too large to fit into the hole in the bracket.

by:

The DrawTite hitch I purchased fit beautifully. The wiring harness plugged into the Nissan Frontier with minimal effort. Shipping of the order was very prompt.

by:

Products were just as described and shipped very quickly. I had trouble with the installation so called Customer Service. They provided truly excellent information - very clear, helpful, and took their time helping me out. Highly recommend.

by:

Simple plug and play... don't need electric breaks, so didn't need any relays. 2 min install with 10 min to tuck, hide, and secure extra wire

by:

Great quality, with handy accessories and for less money than from competitors. I've bought several items from etrailer.com, including entire hitch assemblies, and have been satisfied every time.

by:

These are so great and easy. Have ordered these for other vehicles in past, this was for our 12 Frontier. My son put it in took a minute, then a few more to route wire/plug out to back and secure along the route. After 5 minutes, he jumped in the truck to go bring home another Honda

  • Trailer Wiring Harness and Mounting Brackets for a 2016 Nissan Frontier
We do have a variety of trailer connectors and mounting brackets that you can use on your 2016 Nissan Frontier. If you need a 4-Way Flat connector then the Hopkins # HM43575 will work if you have the tow package. If you don't have the tow package then I recommend the Curt # C56225. You can mount either of these using the Tow Ready # 18144 with a no-drill bracket like part # 18140. I have attached some installation videos and the instructions for you to check out.

  • What Info Is Needed to Add Brakes to a Trailer Axle
Hey Larry, we can definitely help you add brakes to your trailer hubs as long as the axles were made within the past couple decades. What you described is standard for electric trailer drum brakes and how they operate with the armature using a magnet to grab the inside of the drum and apply the brakes. If you can get me the axle capacity and the wheel bolt pattern of your hub I can get you what you would need to add brakes to your trailer axle. I also attached a help article on adding brakes...

  • How Do I Know If I Have The Factory Tow Package Or Not
If you are unsure if you have the tow package or not, the only way to find out for sure would be to contact a dealership with your VIN. With certain vehicles we can sometimes check to see if certain electrical components are present, like a 7-way trailer plug, which would indicate that you do in fact have a tow package installed. That can be kind of hit-or-miss though, and the best way to find out for sure is to contact a dealership.

  • Troubleshooting Faulty 7-Way Connector on a 2016 Nissan Frontier
Since you have used 2 different adapters and a different pickup that does seem to point towards the wiring on your 2016 Nissan Frontier as the problem. I would try checking your connector for corrosion or debris and then your wiring; especially your grounds. If you are testing with an LED tester then there isn't much load being put on the circuits. Once you plug up your trailer it is drawing much more power (even more so if it has incandescent lights) which will expose any wiring problems...

Yes, there will be fuses associated with the trailer lightning circuits on your 2014 Nissan Frontier in the engine bay fuse box.
